Hands down the best in the business. Ron Knoll was our realtor and he just goes the extra mile. I met the other owner, Bob, and you could tell he was the same way. I think Ron is a member of the ethics board or something like that, so you know they are not going to take advantage of you.
We must have looked at 12-20 places before we settled on the one we wanted. Ron was amazing. He was flexible and very understanding when we walked in....and 20 seconds later walked out b/c we knew it was not the place for us. I have since been by the office and the whole staff is super friendly. Plus, they have an amazing website that lets you search the MLS and you don't have to worry about them stalking you:)

Ron Knoll and his company, Saffron Realty, are GEMS in a sea of confusion, namely a volatile real estate market and curt real estate agents.
My husband and I began our search like many do - on our own, just browsing open houses and trying to figure out how to go from apartment to "home".
Ron found us, then the three of us found our DREAM HOME. But this dream would have never been a reality had it not been for Ron's honesty with us and shrewd business savvy when it came to our interests.
We owe him a large part of our happiness, and have thought of him often over the past year - when we drank our wonderful champagne house warming gift and opened several warm greeting cards, in signature red and orange of course.
I'm not sure if I should hit "Post" on this Yelp, because truthfully I'd like to keep Saffron Realty to ourselves ;)

My wife and I purchased our condo in Old Town and, when it came time for us to leave Chicago, sold it, all through Ron Knoll at Saffron Realty Group. When we were looking to buy, Ron spent a great deal of time educating us on the Chicago real estate market and showing us different types of properties. We were very pleased with our purchase. When it came time to sell it was an easy choice to work with Ron again. He worked both hard and smart in a difficult market to attract prospective buyers and negotiate the sale.

We can't speak highly enough about Ron. My wife and I needed to put together an offer on a condo that we knew would be getting two other offers in the morning. We called Ron on a recommendation from a friend. Even though he had only met us fifteen minutes before (and never face-to-face), Ron gave up several hours late on a Sunday night to talk us through the mechanics of the offer. He was extremely patient even though we were full of questions.
In the end, we got the place, and we will call Ron again for any of our future investment or residence needs. He was utterly professional and attentive to our needs, and at no point did he try to lay a heavy-handed sales pitch on us. We recommend Ron and Saffron to anyone we know who is in the market for buying or selling a home. Thanks again, Ron!

My husband and I had been trying to sell our condo in the South Loop for six months! Our contract finally expired with our realtor and the next day we had contacted Ron Knoll at Saffron (we got their name from a flier that had been posted earlier in the year for another unit in our building that they had sold in under three weeks!). I remembered the photographs in their advertising were phenomenal so we gave it a shot and were not disappointed!
Because we were so desperate to sell our place, Ron met with us at 6:00AM in the morning! Talk about understanding our plight and customer service. To make a long story short, Ron and Jennifer were awesome and we had over fifty showings in 3 months (between November and February when the market is normally slower and the economy had seen better times) and had our place sold!
My husband and I would recommend Ron and his team at Saffron Realty to ANYONE and we have. In this real estate market, it is great to work with people who are fun and goal oriented and understands the market and their customers.

In a word. Outstanding! Ron Knoll was great. Very professional and on top of everything. He accomplished what seemed like an impossible task in a very down real estate market: sell my condo swiftly (I closed within seven weeks of the initial listing) and at a price I was happy with. Ron and I were on the same page from the very beginning to the very end. I definitely made the right choice in selecting Saffron Realty Group to sell my condo. Ron will definitely be my realtor for any future real estate transactions.

I could not have asked for a better realtor than Ron. We found Saffron because of a listing mix up over two years ago (we tried to see a condo that had been sold for over a year. Who knew?). Ron worked with us for a few months at that time, but at the last minute we decided to rent for a rew years rather than rushing into a condo purchase. He was gracious and understanding, and he kept in touch with us throughout the two years we rented. When it was time to start looking again he was ready to jump right back in. It was as though no time had passed!
We were not the easiest to show around because we kept changing our minds about what neighborhood we wanted to live in. He was such a great resource when it came to what each neighborhood offered, and when we finally narrowed our search to the South Loop he knew a lot about the neighborhood which helped us make our decision.
We love our new home, and we really appreciate how easy Ron made the entire process. He is friendly, very responsive, and really cares about the people he deals with. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

The hubs and I were first time home buyers. We had our stuff in order (for the most part) before we began the search, but as all newbies eventually realize, there's so much more that we don't know. Ron was always there...either by email, text or phone... to answer our questions.
I honestly don't think the process could have gone any smoother. Right from the get-go, Ron had us out looking at houses that were exactly what we were looking for. And he was NOT pushy - never once did he show us a house that was out of our range (which was very thoughtful considering we were operating on a tight budget). Within 2 weeks of beginning our search, we had put an offer in and successfully signed a contract! Ron was EXTREMELY helpful in the negotiating portion (the part we felt most unsure about) and helped us get a great deal on a fabulous "diamond in the rough" (with an amazing frisbee yard ;o).
Another great service that Ron (and Saffron) offered was their list of attorneys, inspectors, contractors, etc. We've only been in the city for 2 years, so finding quality people to help us through the process was important. We went with Ron's recommendations on attorney (Michelle Laiss) and inspector (Michelle Teague) and both were super.
Something we also want to make note of is that over the course of the two months we worked with Ron there was a family death and the birth of his first child. No matter what, he was there for us. He made sure that our contract was sent through, that we had someone there with us during the inspection...and he made sure he was there for our final walk through and closing. That's more than we had expected given the tumultuous times...but he did it anyways!
In closing...as I mentioned earlier (and I can't reiterate it enough)...this process was smoother than we had ever expected. And I can guarantee it was all because of Ron!

This is the 3rd property that I have had to sell or buy over the past 10 years and there is NO comparison between Ron and all those other realtors. Hands down, Ron was the most knowledgeable, well prepared, best organized, honest realtor I have every dealt with. He is professional, punctual, never pushy and ALWAYS available via phone, text or email.
Ron did a terrific job handling the very difficult sale of my condo. In fact, I am certain that this transaction would have fallen through if it were not for the calm, cool head of Ron Knoll. If you are looking for a truly great realtor, you can stop right now, because Ron is your man. Simply put...Ron Knoll is THE BEST!
My only regret...not knowing about Ron Knoll when I had to go through my other real estate dealings.

They are the best in the business. Ron Knoll was my realtor and is the nicest guy to work with. I was a first time home buyer at 29 and other realtors looked and me like I was just a kid. They were just looking for the big sale and were not willing to help me. Ron walked me threw all the steps and got me into a great house. I will always use and reccommend Saffron Realty to everyone. Ron was always on top of things from start to finish. He was not pushy at all and wanted to find the right house for me.

Ron is more than an awesome real estate professional, he's a great guy.
Here's my experience:
I moved to the Chicago area last spring. I didn't know anyone who could give me a trusted recommendation for a good realtor - which made me a bit uncomfortable. I researched online & found Saffron Realty had the most listings in the areas where I was interested so i sent an email to Ron. I told him what I was looking for (very specifically) and asked him to send me a list of options. I did not include my name or phone number so the only way he could contact me was via email. Other realtors may have walked away & not considered my request seriously, Ron did. He sent me so many listings and all of them were aligned with my interests. We had several email exchanges before I would give him more contact information.
We toured around 20 condos. He was upbeat & positive about the entire process. He gave me the space I needed to make my decision in a timeframe that was good for me, no pressure. He gave me his opinion, which always felt truthful. In fact, he was more critical than I was of some of the places we toured. He also went above & beyond in participating in my closing process - and honestly there is a story there that you won't believe (too long for Yelp) - just trust me. Ron's great, although I didn't interact much with his team, I'm confident that if he's aligned with them - they're great too.
